Barry M Textured nail polish swatches & review

Textured polishes is one of the hottest trends right now. They are basically polishes that dry matte and gritty. They can be plain cremes like the ones shown here or have glitter and sparkle.I have already featured 1 such polish from O.P.I called Stay The Night on the blog. I had a chance to try the textured polishes from Barry M so I bought 3 of the 4 polishes.

Ridley Road, Atlantic Road, Kingsland Road

See how cute the names are ?

Ridley Road is mint green textured polish. 2 coats give full  opaque finish.

I got bored with the plain look of this mani s added a coat of LA Girls Glitter Addict in Uninhibited on the pointer and ring finger. Adding a glitter top coat didn't reduce the grittiness of the original polish.

Atlantic Road is a baby blue textured polish. This is my favourite kinda blue :D 2 coats again..

After experimenting with the mint one, I wanted to try something on this too. So I added a coat of O.P.I Gone Gonzo on the middle and ring fingers.

The last of the Barry M textures is Kingsland Road, a pale baby pink textured polish. 2 coats too...Before I could get bored with the plain look, I had to change my mani so didn't get a chance to spice this one up :p

Overall, I do like the texture trend but honestly I like the sparkly ones better then these. Before I had tried these on, I had a good mind to buy some bright colored textured polishes from China Glaze. But not anymore. I did rather put that money on O.P.I Liquid Sands or the Zoya Pixie Dusts. These are just too plain for my taste. I also feel that I would have liked them better if the sandiness/grittiness was a bit more prominent. Also the unavailability in India is a big bummer.

With that said, I am hoping that we will see some glittery, sparkly textured polishes from Barry M too because honestly they are super cheap and come in a size that I believe can be emptied haha.

Price: 3.99£/ 10 ml
