L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Vernis 'Flaming Sunset' swatch & review

Black and gold is a classic combo. Elegant and chic. So when L'Oreal Paris put out a Color Riche nail polish in this combination with their recent L'Or Sunset collection, I knew I had to get it.

Packaging:

All Color Riche nail polishes come in a small clear glass bottles with a golden top and no outer card box. However the polishes in L'Or Sunset collection are limited editions for the Cannes Film Festival, so they were jazzed up a bit with a glam black and gold card boxes. The shade name does not appear on the bottle itself but the allotted number is there on the top there is a small sticker with all the brand details which also has the name but when you pull the sticker off, the shade name is gone forever. I absolutely love the flat round brush that comes with the L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche nail polishes.

Shade:

L'Oreal Color Riche nail polish in 'Flaming Sunset' is a black crelly with golden glitter in 2 sizes.

Texture and consistency:

Flaming Sunset is full of golden glitter making the polish quite thick. a bit too thick for my liking. I think I may add some thinner or suspension base to get the desired consistency but I am scared, it may ruin the polish. Due to the glitter, the texture is a bit gritty and it will take 2 coats of a good top coat to get a smooth finish.

Application:

It is understandable that the greater glitter content would make the polish a little difficult to apply and I did read a few reviews where the bloggers complained about the application. I managed to get even application by doing 1 medium coat and 1 thin coat. If this technique is still difficult for you, you could apply just one coat over a black creme.I have also heard people complain about the brush that accompanies but honestly it is my favorite type of brush. It makes a lot for a neater mani.

Pigmentation:

I used only 2 coats over here and I did not see much of the nail line.

Price: Rs. 235/5 ml

Rating: 4/5 happi :)

Overall, I am in love with this color combo and just glad that its easily available in India. However, since it is a limited edition, I am not sure how long it is before these are no longer available !! If you still haven't gotten your fill of glitter polishes, get this one immediately :)
