M.A.C Lipstick 'Viva Glam V' swatch & review

Hello lipstick loving ladies,

Its been a long time since I showcased a nude lippie...true, I am out buying fuchsia's and red's but my love for yaa O'nude isn't dead !! Okay that was lame lol. You know spending 1000 bucks on a lipstick are totally justified if the lipstick in question is a MAC Viva Glam. The whole amounts goes to MAC Aids Fund. How cool is that ?!!

I have had this one for sometime now but only just got to using it. Let's see how the MAC Viva Glam V fares on my very indian skintone...

Packaging:
The trademark MAC matte black case with a dark pink inner case holds all the Viva Glam lipsticks.

Color:
Viva Glam V is neutral pink with pearl. On my semi pigmented lips, it shows up more of a nude brown pink. Even though it doesn't show up much, the shine of the lipstick instantly brightens up my face. It's one of those nude lipsticks that add some oomph to the whole look despite of being light colored.

Texture & Finish:
Viva Glam V falls in the 'Lustre' category of MAC finishes. The lustre comes from the gold pearl particles present in the lipstick. However the pearl particles are not felt on application or during the time the lipstick is on.

Pigmentation & Longevity:
Viva Glam V is a bit on the sheerer side but hey, it's a nude lippie. So you don't really need it to be super pigmented. 2 swipes of the bullet and you are good to go. Its lasts a good 3.5 hours with a meal and leaves behind stray shimmer particles.

Price: Rs.990/3 gm

Rating: 4.5/5 happi :)

Overall, I absolutely love Viva Glam V despite of its medium staying power. It is one of those nude lipsticks which will suit almost every skintone. If you are a nude lip lover, it will be a makeup sin to not own this pretty baby :p
