3 Maybelline Colorshow Glitter Mania Nail Polish swatches & review *DUPE ALERT*

Hello polish lovers...

If you are not aware, a new polish baby has made its way in the Indian markets and has everyone quite excited about it !! The baby is called 'Glitter Mania' from Maybelline New York and is a part of their ColorShow range !! If the name isn't enough to get you all pumped up about it, let me just add the words 'textured polish'...Ah, now I have your attention ;)

I hit the nearest local store to ask for these and impulsively bought 3 shiny bottles :D

First up is, 'Starry Night'...super fine silver slivers of glitter in black base.

This is 2 coats of 'Starry night' on all the nails with the index and the middle nail top coated.

You can very clearly see that this polish does not settle on a smooth finish. The amount of glitter causes it to dry to a gritty finish which can be passed off as semi textured finish.

I am classifying this as semi textured only because maybe this isn't even meant to be textured but it actually is !! I haven't received any info from the brand or even the sales woman at the local Maybelline counter about Glitter Mania polishes so this is only my interpretation. If the sales woman has any additional info to give me later, this post will be edited accordingly !!

Next up is, 'Bling On The Blue'...a light cornflower blue with fine and small silver glitter.

This is 2 coats on all fingers with the index and middle nails top coated. Top coat just deepened the color of the nail polish.

This picture shows the texture on this particular polish better.

Last I have 'Dazzling Diva', a bright silver polish with silver glitter !!

I am in LOVE <3 This is 2 coats and 2 fingers with top coat and 2 fingers without !

This one is a 95% dupe of O.P.I. Liquid Sand 'It's Frosty Outside'. The only differences are that the liquid sand is a lil bit grittier and a brighter silver than its Maybelline counterpart. Here's a pic to show the similarity...

My thoughts:

All the polishes are good formula wise and very easy in application. 2 coats is all it took to get an opaque look. Removal is a pain due to the glitter unless you use a peel off base coat !! Price is pretty reasonable although the quantity of the Glitter Mania polishes is less than the regular Colorshow range !!

Price: Rs. 125/6 ml
Rating: 5/5 happi :)

There are 8 colors in this range and the hoarder in me is regretting not picking up another 2 (dull gold & light rose pink) which I had liked in the store but thought I didn't need them :p

You have to pick the silver and the gold, must haves !!

Lemme know what you think of these !!
